New Year's Eve

Luke and I decided to stay in for New Year's Eve this year.  We had such a fun but busy and long Christmas, it was nice to just have a few "quite" days at home.

We played games, had mommy and me cocktails, watched a movie, and wore our party hats.
It was perfect!

Luke and I felt like a million bucks the next day (compared to previous years...) but the kids were another story.  Thank goodness partying until almost 10 is a once a year event!

New Year's Eve isn't complete without party hats, right!?  Clay wasn't so convinced....

Happy 2014!!!!!!!!!

Turpen Christmas

Christmas at Grandma and Papa Turpen's house is always so much fun with ALL the kids!

Wyatt, Hazel, and Clay love to get to play with their cousins.  Grandma still has a lot of Luke and Jill's old toys from when they were little and the kids have a blast playing with all of them.

Look at this crazy group of cousins!

Oh What Fun it is....

Christmas was such a joy this year.  Luke and I really enjoyed picking out fun gifts for the kids and watching them open them was absolutely priceless.

Wyatt and Hazel are at that perfect age where they really believes in the magic of Christmas.  Santa, elves, family, giving, receiving, and celebrating baby Jesus' birthday.

Clay isn't quite there yet but he did love tissue paper and checking out everyone's new gifts!

I am already excited for next year!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Chris!

We loved being able to celebrate Christmas Eve with Chris and the girls this year.

It is Chris's birthday so it is double the fun!

The kids were spoiled as usual and loved rummaging through all the girls stuff, and exploring all the hidden corners at Grandma Chris's house.

I can't believe how fast "the girls" are growing up.  I miss the years of shopping for Barbies and baby dolls.  It really scares the hell out of me to think it will go by even faster with my own kids....a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.
