Hazel & Clay's First Day of School!

September 3rd was Hazel and Clay's first day of preschool.  Hazel went to Kid's Day out at Bethany Lutheran Church last year, so she is a pro at this school thing.  They are both attending Little Leaf Learning Center.  I learned about this great program through our Down syndrome group and got the chance to meet Miss Kim land here all about her school last year at one of our mom's group coffee dates.

Here is an except from their website - "Little Leaf Learning Center was founded on the belief that if we provide quality interventions for young children, we can make lasting changes for our students even before they enter elementary school. We offer a unique learning environment for children of all abilities and learning styles, with an emphasis on children with Down Syndrome. Our goal is to provide support for these children and their families starting with daycare and preschool, tutoring in their school years and helping with work opportunities as adults."

How lucky are we to have such an awesome program right here in Omaha!?

Hazel's "friend" Joey and his brother Erik both go to Little Leaf along with several other families that we know so they both already have lots of friends!  There were no tears on the first 2 days - not from Hazel, Clay, OR mom!

I am very excited for this great learning opportunity for both Hazel and Clay.  My littles are growing up....and that will make me cry.  I am so proud of the little people they have become.

Mr. So Big is ready to take on preschool!
