1st Annual 5K Buddy Run

The Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands held their first annual 5K run to raise money and awareness for Down syndrome and it was a great motivator for me to complete my first 5K!  My awesome friend, Kelina, began "training" with me a few months ago and we have really enjoyed our running dates and are quite proud of our 28 minute finish time!

Over 200 people ran/walked the race and there were even more people in the cheering section!  It was a beautiful day and we were thrilled to have Grandma Sue come help cheer me on.  We have called Clay "Super Clay" since he was born, because he has just amazed us with his strength and determination from day one, so the Clay's Superhero shirts were a no brainer.  I even a added a little flare to the kiddos shirts with removable capes (which were a huge hit!) ;-)

What?  You can't wait to get your hands on a Clay's Superhero shirt!?  You are in luck!  We will be selling to the shirts to raise money for the Buddy Walk which will be held in Omaha on October 13th and in Sioux City on August 25th so mark your calendars!

Team Super Clay!

My cheering squad!
