Clay had a cardiologist appointment and an echocardiogram at Children's Hospital today. Although he is not really showing any signs of needing surgery except for being extra sleepy and a little labored breathing, we are expecting a call from the surgery team on Monday or Tuesday to schedule his surgery. It should be in the next 3-4 weeks. Dr. Danford said he is seeing an increase in incorrect blood flow through his missing valve, so it is time. They started Clay on lasix, a medication for fluid retention in people with congestive heart failure, to help keep the fluid out of his lungs. With mixed emotions about the upcoming surgery, I am sure Luke and I have some sleepless nights in our near future but we are looking forward to getting it over with and having a healthy baby boy! We really appreciate all the prayers and well wishes for our little man - keep 'em coming!

Thank you for the update. Praying in so many ways for your family. We love all of you. Turpen Cousins
I know this is stressful beyond words, but hang in there. It will all be over soon enough and you can move on and just enjoy your sweet little one. I think the extra 21st chromosome gives them super powers!! Brady powered through 8 surgeries and never missed a beat! Please let me know if you need anything.
